My extension of stay (base on an ED-visa) is expiring on Feb 9th.
I will probably fly home next week (to process a non-B) : let's say I fly out on Jan 19th - I will ask my school to give me a paper saying that I stop the course on that date.
Can I go to CW office on Jan 17th to make the cancellation effective? (so actually earlier than the departure date)
I want to avoid paying the 1900B fees for a useless extension...
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of canceling their ED visa extension at the Central Workforce (CW) office before their departure date. They seek to avoid unnecessary fees for an extension they won't use, planning to depart Thailand shortly after their school course ends. Respondents confirm that cancellation can be processed early, provided a letter from the school is presented.
gotcha, yeah they will provide me with all the business related document - I guess I will have them in a scanned form since all the visa process is to be done online
Yes, you can. If you have a letter from the school with a specific finishing date, you can apply for cancellation in advance. The immigration office would stamp you until that date, you need to leave Thailand before 23:59 on that date.
