TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquired about bringing their 49-year-old son, who suffers from epilepsy, to live with them on their retirement visa in Thailand. Responses indicated that the son would need to apply for his own visa, emphasizing that a retirement visa cannot accommodate dependents. Some commenters suggested waiting until the son turns 50, as he would then qualify for a retirement visa himself. The discussion also covered medical considerations for epilepsy in Thailand, including access to neurological care and medication availability.

Hospitals have excellent neurology centers. I get lamotrigine for epilepsy and never had a seizure in Thailand. I git a confirmation letter from bumrungrad Hospital that i used to apply for DTV medial treatment
I'm retired in Thailand and have a pre-existing condition M.S and insurance is impossible with that. Have you looked at managing the epilepsy here? Is he on medications?
