I’m currently in Thailand on a student visa, which expires on April 13. Can I fly to Da Nang, stay in my family’s apartment, and apply for the DTV (Soft Power Muay Thai) online through the Thai embassy in Hanoi? Or do I need a hotel booking in Hanoi?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about applying for a DTV (Soft Power Muay Thai) visa through the Thai embassy while staying in Da Nang, Vietnam, after their student visa in Thailand expires. Commenters clarify that the application should be made at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, not Hanoi. Some suggest that a hotel booking may not be necessary if local identification is provided, while others mention that a proof of arrival in Vietnam could suffice.
You dont need a hotel, you can use vietnam arrival stamp on your passport as a proof. Many of my customers applied in vietnam did the same. They may ask for a selfie in Vietnam as well
