Hi, everyone. I am on a special tourist visa in Thailand. They say that I can't extend my visa to a work visa. Can I "apply" for a new work visa instead of "extend" from the special tourist visa in Thailand? If I have to go back to Myanmar and re-enter Thailand, the whole quarantine process with the insurance will cost me a lot. It would not be safe for me to go back now either. -_-

TLDR : Answer Summary
It is not possible to convert a special tourist visa (STV) into any other type of visa, including a work visa, while remaining in Thailand. To obtain a work visa, the individual must return to their home country or another country to apply for the new visa, as the STV does not allow for such changes or extensions.
I was worried about the short duration of the TV so I applied for the STV, instead. Looks like I have to go back and re-enter if I were to get a job. Thanks for the answers, everyone.
For people on special tourist visas, you can not covert it to any other type of extension of visa. You are also not allowed to work on the special tourist visa.
