"STV cannot be changed to any other type of visa during the duration of stay in Thailand.

If the STV holder breaches the entry conditions (for example, if he/she engages in work-related activities), the stay permit will be revoked and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future."

It is clearly stated on the Thai Embassy websites...and is a Special Tourist Visa with specific rules governing it.

The STV is authorized for issue only thru September 30, 2021.

"2.5 STV cannot be changed to any other type of visa during the duration of stay in Thailand.

2.6 If the STV holder is found to be in breach of the conditions for entry into Thailand, the stay permit will be revoked immediately and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand."
