Can I switch from a Covid extension to an STV visa while in Thailand?
Hello! We have now switched to a Covid extension and are looking to get the STV visa until we get our visa. Can we switch from a Covid extension to an STV in country. Would love to hear from those who have done it? Thanks!🙂
Answer summary
It is not possible to switch from a Covid extension to a Special Tourist Visa (STV) while in Thailand. The STV must be obtained from your home country, and no tourist visas can be acquired within Thailand. It's suggested to explore other visa options available while in the country.

STV is special tourist visa which gives you 90days first and you cannot covert any type of non-immigrant visa inside Thailand.
Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV or TR) gives you 60days first and you may apply for another type of non-immigrant visa inside country.
NEITHER tourist visa is available IN Thailand.

"until we get our visa"? Which visa can you not get now? I say again as I said on your last post, as you are working why not get a Non-B and work permit ?
