Hi guys,

This question might have been asked before but please allow me to ask.

Has anyone ever experienced applying for a “transit visa” after getting your “tourist visa”?

I’ve got my tourist visa in Phnom Penh but I have a change of plan(due to work). And I need to apply for a transit visa.

Do I need to cancel my tourist visa or I can just apply for another visa without any issue?

I’ve tried asking the embassy but haven’t got the reply yet. If anyone has ever experienced it, can you please kindly share it?

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of applying for a transit visa after already obtaining a tourist visa in Phnom Penh. They were unsure if they needed to cancel the tourist visa prior to applying for the transit visa and sought experiences from others on the matter. One commenter suggested using the existing tourist visa to enter Thailand, as it is valid for three months and allows a 60-day stay. However, it raised doubts about applying for another visa while already holding an unused one.

If you already have a valid tourist visa from the online system thru the Thai consulate in Phnom Penh why not just use that to enter on ?

You have 3 months from the date that visa is issued to enter thailand and get stamped in for 60 days.

I honestly don't know that you can apply for another online eVisa while holding one that you haven't used yet 😕 BUT I would doubt it 🙁
