Can I apply for a Thai visa now for a trip planned in 2028?

After the softpowerDTV is given, is there any timeframe you have to enter Thailand for the first time? Can i get my visa done allready now, and plan a trip in 2028?

GER-Frankfurt embassy (softpowerDTV page) states :

The visa application is possible at the earliest 90 days before the start of the trip to Thailand, as the single-entry visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.

i cant find that information nowhere else, but still im not sure if its possible to apply and recieve it now, under current rules, with a planned trip in two years...

there is no flight nor accomondation information needed in the further visa process, only whats written on the embassy page, right?

thank you very much

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around the possibility of applying for a Thai visa (specifically the softpowerDTV visa) for a trip scheduled two years later in 2028. According to the Frankfurt embassy, the visa can only be issued 90 days before travel, and it remains unclear if one can apply for a visa this far in advance. There are comments raising concerns about the practicality and validity of such a long-term visa application, suggesting that flight and accommodation details may be necessary within the 90-day window, and questioning the rationale behind booking a visa two years prior.

Are you willing to pay everything upfront school fees, accommodation, visa fees and apply for DTV once approved fly into thailand for a short trip to activate your visa and tell your school you are only attending school 2yrs later....so it all depends what you really want

Why would you buy (Thai Soft Power) Courses/Classes in any foreign country (Thailand) and not attend until 2 years later??

Also, does any training gym, school, institute, or other entity anywhere around the world, sell/book for courses/classes 2 years in advance (i.e. courses/classes start 2 years later from present)??

You apply with proof or soft power. Im pretty sure they wonr validate visa for arrival in 2 years. And you wont book course in 2 years.

Why would you get the visa now to come after two years?

That rule is more a guideline, once issued the visa is valid for 5 years.. It doesnt cancel if not utilized.

You will likely need to provide flight and accommodation details inside the 90 day window or they wont issue it though.
