Hi all, looking into applying for a soft power DTV (medical/dental) in a few months time from New Zealand. Wondering if you have to physically go to Thai Embassy in Wellington to apply or can it be done online? Also, roughly how long did the process take? Thanks in advance 🙂

Are you aware of the ridiculous visa prices that Embassy charges? It's the most expensive in the world.

yes I am aware it’s ridiculously expensive but I think spending money on flights, accommodation, food etc to apply at another embassy would end up costing more unless the process is usually very quick from Thai NZ embassy. Can anyone give me a rough idea of how long they take and are they fast or slow in comparison to other countries

HappyPenguin3785 Wellington takes 5-10 business days from receipt of application. That would be if all docs are correct and they do not need to ask for further docs. If they request you to send more docs the application clock is reset back to zero.

Hi, the thai embassy in NZ is great over email- I asked them different questions and found them really happy to answer. We didn't end up applying in NZ as its significantly more expensive than in other countries, I think alot of people from NZ end up making the same choice.
