TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster has a ME tourist visa obtained in Israel and is inquiring whether they can apply for another ME tourist visa from a different country once their current visa expires. The community discusses various options, highlighting that Israeli passport holders cannot enter Malaysia, and suggests that applying in the Philippines may not be viable either. They mention that some embassies, particularly in Perth, Australia and Kuala Lumpur, may process ME tourist visas for non-citizens/residents, but the situation can vary and is not guaranteed.

Best option is to enrol at a school and get an ED visa

Phil Dodd thanks, do u have any schools you recommend (specifically for learning thai, but i'm open to anything)?
Phil ******
Yes no problem . . Just go to the school that you wish to enrol at a month before your visa runs out. They will sort all the paperwork out for you to take to Laos

can I theoretically do that on any date? my visa will expire at about mid august - can I do it then or only when the school year starts? (october?)

Manila is also not the best choice for a tourist visa either.

the KL Thai Embassy is the only one in SEAsia that does the 6-month METV for non-Citizens/Permanent Residents, but I am unsure of which passports or countries it will do this visa for...it's the same in Perth Australia at the Thai Embassy....

Neo LothongKum You could contact them and confirm.
Jeremy ********
Neo LothongKum if you meet all the requirements you should be able to...
Ron *******
Certainly not Malaysia as you are already probably aware. That's As far as I know, the only country close to Thailand which would issue one.
Kurt ********
@Ron ******
Me either.. but their website lays out the requirements so it shouldn't be an issue assuming they meet all the other requirements.

@Ron ******
