ORIGINAL POSTER
I will be entering Thailand with a 90-day non-immigrant (O) retirement visa.

After entering Thailand and before the 90-day period has expired, I would like to apply for a four-month extension of my stay at the immigration office in Buriram.

Can anyone tell me what documents immigration requires?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry pertains to applying for a four-month extension after entering Thailand with a 90-day non-immigrant (O) retirement visa. However, community responses clarify that there is no option for a four-month extension. Instead, the only available option is a one-year extension, contingent on meeting specific financial requirements, such as having 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account or receiving a monthly pension of 65,000 THB.

There isn’t a 4 month extension available so you’ll need to rethink your plans

There is no such thing as a four month extension it’s one year you’ll need to deposit 800k in a Thai bank in your name only showing a foreign transfer for two full months before applying for the one year extension unless you’re embassy still issue an income statement showing 65k + in pension

for an extension of stay the money doesn't have to come from overseas, that's only if you apply for the 90 day Non-O inside Thailand

for a marriage visa it can come from anywhere 400k but for a retirement 800k there want to see a foreign transfer in most offices and with all the banking issues now I would expect it in all offices soon the money laundering aspect comes into play now

no need for it to come from overseas for an extension based on retirement at ANY immigration office I'm aware of

it seems the requirement of showing the money is from overseas varies from office to office. Not required in Chiang Mai. You would have to check Buriram.

There is no 4 month extension available 😕

If you come in on a 90 day Non-O visa based on being over 50 (retirement) you can apply only for a year extension (by meeting the financial requirements)

If you come in on a 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai you can apply for either one 60 day visit thai family extension OR a year extension (by meeting the financial requirements)

What is the reason you are getting a Non-O visa for?
