Can a UK citizen apply for a METV while in Vietnam?
I saw a post recently stating that you could apply for a METV in Vietnam even if you are not a citizen or permanent resident of Vietnam.
I am a UK citizen and I was always told you had to be in the UK to apply for that so was wondering if anyone was successful in getting the METV in Vietnam?
PS I sent an email to both embassies in Vietnam and none of them have responded!

Yes, you’re able to apply for a METV in Vietnam. I’m actually in the process of doing it myself. I’m Canadian staying here in Vietnam. Just make sure you pick the right embassy as there are two of them.

ChattyFlower7501 There is only ONE Thai embassy in Vietnam, as in Ho Chi Minh it is a Thai GENERAL CONSULATE. When you are in Vietnam, you just pick the Hanoi Thai Embassy in the e-visa online system. You can't miss it

Greg Alexander well I was able to pick HCMC when I started my eVisa the other day. It popped up stating you need to pick the one which pertains to your area. I’m in Da Nang so HCMC was the one I was told to pick.
