Can I Process a Non-B Visa During a 30-Day Extension of Stay Due to COVID-19?

Good morning my visa will expire on the 31st of March, and I'm transferring school and about to exit to Laos, but, unfortunately all the boarders are closed as we all know because of covid19. However, I was granted a 30 days extension of stay from our embassy, but my question is would there be any possibility for my non b to get processed under the 30 day extension period? If anyone here have done this, I would be very grateful to know. Thank you.

, you write you are in Thailand on a visa that expire 31th March and you like to apply for a Non Immigrant B visa.

What kind of Visa did you use to enter Thailand?
Robert *******
I would advice, take the first possible flight back home, stay there until the virus problems are over. At that time get the documents from your new employer apply for the Non Immigrant B visa, make your way back into Thailand and pick up your work permit before you start working. Good luck.

it was a tourist visa last April 3 2017, and I went to Laos for my extension since I got a teaching job in Uthai Thani, I am teaching in one school only since then, however things are changing in our school so I decided not to renew our contract which will end this end of March. And, gladly I was accepted by one of the private schools nearby which will be opened on May 16, so thats why I am seeking advices from here on what to do considering that all boarders are closed as if this moment.

You need to visit a Thai Consulate that is open to process the Non Immigrant B visa and for that you have travel. Safe travels

ok, you will have to visit Immigration and most probably will be granted 30 days extension, if that's what they told you. Means, your permit of stay will get you to May 30. With some luck the borders to Laos will be again open for travel until then, so you can process the Non-B
