What are the implications of not reporting my address change to the immigration office in Thailand within 24 hours, and where can I extend my Covid visa?

Hello.

I am currently on covid visa and it will expire on 8 November. Planning to extend once more.

My 90 days report due date is on 9 November.

And, I moved to Salaya, Nakhon Pathom from Bangkok last Sunday. Once I heard that foreigners need to report to the immigration office within 24 hours when moving out to new place. Would I get fined if I didn’t do? (*My new landlord can do TM 30 for me)

Also, since I moved to Nakhon Pathom and planning to do second covid visa extension, will I do the extension at Nakhon Pathom immigration office not at the Bangkok Immigration bureau?

Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a Covid visa expiring on November 8 and wants to extend it again. They have moved from Bangkok to Salaya, Nakhon Pathom, and are concerned about the requirement to report their new address to immigration within 24 hours. They ask if there will be a fine for not reporting the move and whether they can extend their Covid visa at the Nakhon Pathom immigration office instead of in Bangkok. Comments confirm the need to file a TM30 report with the local immigration regardless of whether the user informs them officially within the time limit and clarify that the visa extension must be done at the Nakhon Pathom office.

Also, my concern is that I didn’t inform the immigration office about my move to new place within 24 hours (which I am not sure whether this information is correct or not). Will it be problematic? Or just do TM 30 regardless of what I informed them or not within 24 hours? Thank you in advance Tod Daniels Benjamin Hays

, the Online TM30 report system has only today and yesterday as arrival date choices. Ask your landlord to just choose one of them.

Have the landlord do the online TM30 today, and use that as proof that you live there.

I use Nakhom Pathom immigration. They *WILL NEED* the TM30 for the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel. They *WILL* also need

A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR;

a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR;

a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.

(Note the OR's)

If you're an American, or from the UK, it's easy to find on the respected embassy website.

You definitely need to get a TM30 filed at the immigration office in the area where you live. Whether you do it or your land lord does it doesn't matter. BUT you need to have the receipt that someone filed you are at that address

You are correct you apply for your next covid extension at the Nakhon Phanom Immigration office NOT at Bangkok <- you don't live IN bangkok anymore
