Hi all. I am currently in ASQ, and planning to extend my TR 60 day visa as soon as I come out from the quarantine. However I have a few questions..

1. My arriving visa TR 60 days would expire on 3rd April. So is it too early for me to apply for the extension if I do it in next week?

2. Is it possible for me to apply for the 60 days covid visa extension?

3. What are the requirements for the extension? (both covid extension and normal 30 days extension)

4. I think I should get an online appointment to get the extension done.

5. Any other advice is also highly appreciated.

Thank you so much. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

EDIT : sorry I forgot to ask if I need to extend my insurance which I used to get the COE as well? (as the insurance only valid for 60 days from entry)

I will be using Muang Thong Thani immigration office

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the user's intent to extend their TR 60-day visa after completing their quarantine and poses several questions about the application process and requirements for both a normal and COVID-19 extension. Sadly, there's not a lot of information for us to answer...

> My arriving visa TR 60 days would expire on 3rd April. So is it too early for me to apply for the extension if I do it in next week?

MOST immigration offices allow you to extend it when there's 30 days or less remaining on the stamp; some allow you to extend it when there's 45 ays remaining

>2. Is it possible for me to apply for the 60 days covid visa extension?

MOST immigration offices require a person to get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism BEFORE applying for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19

>3. What are the requirements for the extension? (both covid extension and normal 30 days extension)

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following. The COVID-19 extension and regular extension of stay based on tourism have the same basic requirements.

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy saying they don’t issue the letters. [FOR COVID-19 extensions only)

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

>4. I think I should get an online appointment to get the extension done.

Which immigration office will you use? MOST immigration offices do not have a queuing system.
