Just wanted to share my experience getting the COVID-19 extension today. Arrived at 10:15am and was done in 30 minutes in Phuket town. A few things…
- Bring a pen! They will not loan you a pen and tell you to go buy one at the hut by the waiting point (photo provided) for 10 baht. Not a big deal but wastes time.
- There are 3 forms you need to complete that they provide.
- You will need copies of: 1) passport page with signature and you’ll need to sign the copy I assume to verify your signature matches, 2) last Thai visa stamp in your passport, and 3) your departure card. You can get copies in the back for 2 baht each.
- Photo to attach to the application which you can also get in the back for 100 baht. I got this the first time I went and they have me 5 copies so I haven’t needed to get since.
- Form from your hotel showing that you live there.
I have to go back tomorrow to pick up my passport but the woman said it was guaranteed and I already paid so hopefully that’s the case. 🤞🏻
Since I know this is very dependent on your nationality and current visa situation, I am American, entered on tourist visa in November and already got one COVID extension on Jan 25.
Only thing I forgot to ask was if I needed to do the 90 day reporting since I’ve read conflicting information about if you need to do or if the COVID application suffices. I will ask tomorrow when I pick my passport up.
