Hi all,

Is it possible to apply for a Thai tourist visa in one country (country A) but then arrive in Thailand from another (country B)?

I booked an appointment in Country A Thai embassy but will be leaving to another country just for a few days (for a birthday) and then heading to Thailand but I'm not sure if I will have problems in Thailand when arriving from a different country.

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for a Thai tourist visa at an embassy in one country and then enter Thailand from a different country without any issues. Your visa will remain valid for the duration specified, usually 90 days, and the country you are departing from does not affect your entry into Thailand.
