I wanted to do my 30-day visa extension in Nonthaburi because the immigration office in Bangkok was too crowded.

However, in Nonthaburi they require a TM.30 form.

Is it possible to have an address in Bangkok but apply for the visa extension in Nonthaburi?

In Bangkok, they never asked for a TM.30.

If you're here on a 60 day free stamp as long as you show a TM30 that is IN the area served by that office you're good.

So in Nonthaburi you'd show you're at an address IN that province

Like people said, go to Nonthaburi, check into a hotel get the TM30 and then go apply for the 30 day extension at that office.

An option is to stay at a cheap Hotel for 1 night (in Nonthaburi) where they will submit the TM30.. you then ask for a copy of that TM30 and go back to your Nonthaburi Immigration. Should be no need to go back to Bangkok.

Do you have an actual visa that you bought before coming here, or did you get a free 60 day visa exempt entry stamp when you entered? Depending on which is true you would go to a certain office to get your extension. You can't shop around you go to the office with jurisdiction over the area where you filed your TM30.

I did my extension at the Bangkok office recently and while they didn't ask me for my TM30, I saw they asked someone else for it so it's not true that the BKK office doesn't ask for it. It just depends.

Nope. You need to do the extension of stay at the Thai Immigration office where you live. In your case... it's Bangkok.

and if you entered as Visa Exempt Entry...you MUST use the IT Laksi Square Thai Immigration office... NOT the CW CHAENGWATTANA Thai Immigration office
