You would most likely throwing your money away,if they were in perfect health it would be tough and then if you found one they would fight you all the way to pay ,self insure

Pay as you go, I'm 71 and insurance is difficult here after 65 yr, prices in public hospitals are ok and of course little bit more in private.Now of us that ate married/retired here come to get ill.

Forget insurance at that age, he'll need to pay for medical care. As for the apartment sell it before he comes, then just rent it's relatively cheap

My uncle in law ,he is 75 yrs ,bought every year for insurance and has prices starting from 65,000-100,000+ depending on condition (many companies)

AXA easycare accepts up to age 80 and is approved for multiple visa types that require insurance. Not sure about the fine print though.
