How can I apply for a Thai driving license with a UK license and a 5-year DTV?

I order a year’s statement a couple of weeks before renewal. on the day of my renewal i go to the bank in the morning to get the statement, update my bank book, AND get a letter certifying my current balance. my immigration office requires to-the-day proof. pia but it is what it is

Just done mine asked for a 12 month statement 7 days before cost 100 baht and a wait for 5 days ,collected it on the day of my visa renewal I deposited 100 baht then requested a 6 month statement another 100 baht but it all tied in for immigration so no problem ,that was bangkok bank ,im changing to kasikorn because they will provide 12 months with no messing around 🙂

It is the same in Khon Kaen, but they accept a six-month statement plus signed copies of the Passbook's last twelve months' transactions.

Try getting it from the app a print it out, but October is a lot farther out than 5 days what’s the problem??

Willism69_ . . . .most banks need one week in order to get the 12-months statement from their headquarter main branch in Bangkok. You should have asked your bank. You have pleanty of time left until 16th October. Theearliest date you can apply for the new 1-year extension of stay is September 16. So relax, order the 12-months statement showing 12 months of transfers from abroad of a minimum of 65,000 THB, month for month not missing a single month, from your Thai bank. The statement dos not need to be actual on the day you apply. You could order it from your bank on September 10th. ATTENTION: the printouts from your banking App will NOT be accepted by Immigration, so PLEASE IGNORE EVERY ADVICE that tells you to print the statements from your phone or computer!

most banks offer online statements same day. Bangkok bank does i know amd others too.

You can request a statement through the app which is sent to you by email, print out and take to your bank and they will authorize it

You need the statements for the period up to your date of application.. not to the date your current stamp expires.. meaning if you are applying for your extension 30 days before.. which is around 16 Sep.. then you should only need 11 months' statements.. my branch of BB can print the last 6 months statements at the counter for a fee of 100 baht.. but need 5 working days to supply earlier statements.. so i would order the older stats i require in early Sep.. then go into the branch the day before i intend to visit immigration to file my application.. and get the more recent stats along with the bank certificate.. however, if you have a bank book detailing all your transactions (without any combined entries) then you should only need stats covering the seasoning period.. in my case the 2-months leading up to my application.. i renewed mine last week in CM and went armed with all 12-months stats just in case.. but they only needed 2-months.. photocopies of all pages of the bank book and sight of book itself.. updated to the day prior to my visit was acceptable.. though i accept different immigration offices may have different rules!

it doesn't help for this extension but unlike some banks that have to get the 12 month statement from head office (I don't understand why) Kasikorn can print them at any branch. My funds are in a Pattaya branch and I just go to the Khon Kaen branch and get the 12 month statement plus letter from that branch without having to order anything (just walk in and ask for it) on route to Immigration for my extension. Maybe you should think about changing banks for the next year.

Escalate with the bank

Nothing new go and explain it to immigration they will give you the required time ...no good asking here

Print statements from the web app and ask the bank to stamp them, or ask immigration to accept the web app printed statements.

Bangkok bank’s system is antiquated.

Be sure to file a complaint with the bank.

That have a report called Credit Advice. It will show all foreign transactions over a year period. It can be done in an hour. The clerk you talk to nah not know about it, but it can be done at the branch you opened your account at. Immigration accepts this report.

Letter and statements can be 7days before the date of application but the bank book have to be updated to the same day.....get the first 6mths of statements from the app received from email and visit the branch for the letter and later 6 mths of statements (bkk bank can issue the 6mths and letter on the same day)....pls bring along the first 6mths statements for the bank staff to be stamped.....officers i met at bkk CW branch need to see the stamp on the statements....although some are lucky that they meet officers that doesn't require the stamp...updating your bank book that have no transactions on the date of application will only show previous date ....please make a small withdrawal or depoist to have the book shows latest transactions on the day of application.....ensure all docs are ready instead of running in and out of immigration ...good luck

Why is what should be an extremely routine process such a messy one.Just allow us to obtain a 12 month statement on the date of visa extension.Too easy ? 🙄

Normally the statements and guarantee letter from the bank can be up to 7 days old and you just update the bank book on the day. Which immigration office is not allowing this?

For Bangkok Bank

Ask for a 12 month transaction statement. (Can take up to 7 days)

Then a day before the extension application get a month transaction statement and the certificate from the bank which are then signed and stamped.

Put the 2 transaction statements together. (Make sure that they overlap)

This is done for Immigration.

Last year, I downloaded and printed the 12 month statements myself and took them to Bkk bank, where they provided everything else for Hua Hin immigration. My extension is due again in a couple of weeks, so I will see if it was just luck!

Bangkok bank is up to 10 days for statement. I order about 15 days before visa renewal and then pick it up the afternoon before. Get the letter, updated bank book and another statement from the bank itself for the missing days on the 1 year.

I have used Bangkok Bank for 10 years with no problems. Ask them for a yearly statement dated from the date of your last application. This can be done in Sept. Then the day before or on the day, go to the bank to get your confirmation letter of account and a 6 month statement which is done immediately. That is the year covered and job done.

Last time I did mine Jomtien Immigration could care less they wanted a signed memo from the bank listing the monthly foreign deposits but you have to get statement for bank to write memo.

Order a 11 month for 1st Oct. On the day get the 16 days

well, sounds like Bangkok Bank. I did read someone who went to the Bangkok immigration office and was allowed to submit the copy provided by the application of the statements. I will tell you in Chiang Mai that probably will not fly.
