TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a Thai driving license using your home country driving license, you will generally need the following documents: a valid home country driving license (with a translation if not in English), an international driving permit (recommended), a medical certificate, your passport, and proof of residency (such as a work permit or residence letter). Additional requirements may include copies of relevant documents and payment of a fee. Various services and local licensing offices can assist in the process.

Your home country driving license (if it’s not in English then translation to English and get attested by your embassy ), passport, work permit or resident letter from your emabassy, and a medical certificate(which is quite easy to get near DLT) that’s it - fees for bike - 100 bhat and car - 200 bhat

Go and see frankies licensing they sort everything for about 5000
waste of money. Just take the correct documents with you to the driving centre. A quick eye test and your Thai licence is done

The regular price for a firsttime licence is around a few hundred Baht, so why pay 5.000 Baht. The folks at the Department of Land Transport are usually helpful people.

-Valid license from your home country
-international driving permit (without it it's longer)
an IDP can only be gotten in the country your government issued drivers license was issued in. Thailand will only issue you one with a 5 YEAR DL, not the 2 year one.
Abiut the pink card I have to say pass to that after I got no knowledge about if it can be used I would call your local DLT office unless someone in this forum know the answer
Just a small thing you need copy of all they often have a copy place in the DLT and also most DLT would require one recidence certificate from each license so in case you need both bike and car you will need two
I know many friend used that. In my case, work permit was sufficient. If you don’t mind traveling to Nonthaburi, 10 mins you have your license. No test, no viewing any videos etc.
The medical cert you get from a doctor. Doctors already have the forum. Just call and ask if they do med certs for DL, it's very common. I got mine a couple years ago. Walked into a local clinic, took 3 minutes and 100 baht.
Yeah, just ask your doctor specifically for a medical cert for a driving license. It's a specific form with 5 diseases you can't have. Shouldn't be more than 200 baht.
