Hey guys, I initially posted a question regarding applying for BOI companies as a fresher. Is it true that - Even if I show 2+ years of prior work experience with proof, BOI won't accept my application due to the fact that "I just graduated"? I don't understand why this matters? Because someone can get a bachelors degree at any point of their life right? Doesn't mean they can't have prior work experience. Can anyone enlighten me with similar experience or advice? Im 24 btw.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is questioning the acceptance of their BOI application due to their recent graduation, despite having over two years of work experience. They seek clarification on the significance of their educational timeline in relation to their work history, especially since many individuals attain degrees at various life stages. Responses to the post highlight that BOI prioritizes relevant experience and professionalism, and that experience gained after obtaining a business degree may be more relevant than prior work. Community members express the notion that a degree alone does not suffice to demonstrate expertise.
so was your work experience BEFORE you got your BD?
As they are probably looking for experience AFTER you acquired your BD.
Quite simples really ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Even though the work you did prior is more than likely the exact same you will do after ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ

A bachelor's degree these days, especially here, doesn't mean a lot at your age. 90% of

staff here need one to get job there. A degree doesn't equal expertise or experience anywhere. It just shows the ability to stick at one task long term in one field. Experience after that is where it matters
I am not sure if your comprehension skills are poor or you just intentionally choose to be arrogant. I already implied in the post that I have 2+ years of experience, it's not me that says a Bachelors Degree is important, it's the BOI law. In fact, I am saying the opposite. Also, not to sound racist but every white guy's comment I see here has this weird vibe of bootlicking Thailand, please stop, it's hilarious.

Do you currently, or in your past, ever had a business, not working for someone else, and payed appropriate business taxes? Thailand is not a training ground. The BOI expects experience, and professionalism. Most that use the BOI do it by setting up a branch office here of their existing business in their home country.
I don't think you understand what I meant, I am not trying to get my own business or company under BOI. I was talking about the rule that says employees with relevant degree working in a company under BOI needs to show 2 years of work experience.
Yes I do, I have 3 years of experience actually, however, my regional manager said, because I "just graduated" I am technically a freshman with no experience, which does not make any sense whatsoever, you don't necessarily need a bachelors degree to have proper working experience. Theres people out there who got rich first then got a bachelors in their late 30s.
. 3 years of experience during g your degree doesn't count as experience in the job market , you were still learning If that is what you refer to as experience. Eg . I did a 4 year apprenticeship. My time during that meant nothing even after qualifying. Wasn't deemed experienced until years after post trade.
