Edit: See screenshots in my comments below for the correct information.

I'm on the Thai E-visa website completing an application for a Non-O visa.

I've attached a few screenshots of the key parts of the application.

What is a Letter of qualification endorsement issued from Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), how do I get one, and what difference does it make if I'm applying for a retirement visa and have no intention to work? A bank statement I could understand. This? ???

Summary so far

The post discusses the confusion surrounding the Letter of Qualification Endorsement from the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) while applying for a Non-O visa. The user is unclear about the necessity of this document, especially since they are applying for a retirement visa and do not intend to work. Comments indicate that the user may have selected the wrong visa type and offer practical advice about the e-visa application process.

One more comment: The e-visa website times out relatively quickly. I recommend you click Save (bottom of each page) often ;)

You’ve chosen LTR visa. That’s not the right option.

Here are a couple screenshots from the Thai E-Visa website which I believe are the correct choices for the Non-Immigrant (O) visa. Hope this helps someone in the future.
