Can a spouse qualify for a DTV Visa just by accompanying their partner for medical treatment?

You'll need one person to apply first under one of the categories and get approval.

Then other can apply under spouse, you can include a letter with the application explaining they will be sponsored by the primary dtv holder.

Financial evidence of the primary DTV holder should be submitted

All applications will need to be done whilst out of Thailand.

If you are approved for DTV visa, it is as I understand possible for a spouse to apply as “dependent”. A bit unclear about the financial side, it might be necessary to show funds equivalent of 500K baht or letter of sponsorship. Sponsor (You) to guarantee to provide for dependant. I recommend you to contact the Thai Embassy that approved you DTV visa. Best of luck.

You still have to get your own visa if you go with a DTV too you would get it to accompany family. You can't apply until after your family member has theirs. You need to show the same money and pay the same fee as the principal visa holder as well as show how you are family, marriage cert etc.
