Hello

I’m a Malaysian passport holder currently in Thailand Bangkok.

I have a

1. visa exemption stamp 30days at Don Mueang airport.

2. And I also got my Visa EXTENSION in Thai immigration +30days.

Is there any way I can further extend my stay here ? And how long would that be ?

I heard that I’ll be able to get a Covid extension stamp at immigratjon for 60days before July 25th.

Is that true ?

Please advise sir/mam

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Malaysian passport holder currently in Thailand can extend their stay by applying for a 60-day Covid extension at the local immigration office for a fee of 1,900 baht. The approval of this extension is subject to discretion from the immigration officer. As a Malaysian, they can also exit and re-enter Thailand multiple times for new 30-day visa exemptions, unlike citizens from other countries who are limited in the number of exemptions per year.

You can indeed go to the immigration office that serves the area where you stay and apply for a 60 day covid extension for 1900baht.

Whether the extension will be granted or not is totally up to the discretion of the issuing office/officer.

The borders are open you, as a Malaysian can exit/enter thailand as many times as you want to get a new 30 day visa exempt entry (Malays are not limited to two 30 day visa exempt entries in a year like most countries are)

So can you go APPLY for a 60 day covid extension? Yep, you can.

Will you GET it issued or be told to leave the country? No one knows that answer.

I'd say before the 25th of July go to your immigration office and try BUT have a plan b in place to leave the country if they deny you (y)
