TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen can enter Thailand multiple times a year without a visa, provided they meet Thai Immigration requirements. Generally, for visa-exempt entries, it's advisable to show proof of their return flight and an address for their stay. However, excessive frequent entries may raise questions with immigration officials. Land border entries are limited to 2 times per calendar year, while entries by air are generally more flexible but depend on the discretion of the immigration officer.

FYI...

Land border entry AND Entry by Air provides the same number of days you are stamped in Thailand... 45 days til April 1 2023, then its 30 days Visa Exempt Entry into Thailand.

Both entries are eligible for one 30 day extension of stay at the Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

Land BORDER entry is limited to 2 times EACH calendar year.

Entries into Thailand by air are not limited and are at the discretion of the Thai Immigration Officer who greets you on arrival.

How long are you really planning to stay with friends in Thailand?

And do you have a recent history of staying in Thailand during COVID-19 ?

. I lived in Bangkok for 5 years through covid, left for Brunei in August. Would be staying for school hols, so at the most 21 days usually more like 10-14 days? I will always have a return ticket back to Brunei, as I work here.

@Sarah *****
you should be OK. Enjoy your visits...

Also be sure to ask your airline if you need to show PROOF of your flight departing Thailand if not already booked. As some airlines will NOT issue a boarding pass without having a flight ticket departing Thailand.

UNTIL Thai Immigration Officer asks you Why you enter Thailand so many times without a correct Thai Visa...and deny you Entry.

A few times EACH year okay entering visa exempt...with proof of your flight departing Thailand and the address of your first nights stay in Thailand and the equivalent of 20,000 Thai baht in CASH... Also helpful to have an invite note from your friends in Thailand with their phone number of contact.
