good morning all,

is it true that today (aug11th), and tomorrow (aug 12th) is a holiday so our applications wont be reviewed until wednesday? would it matter if i submit it today vs wednesday? (i have a few things that need to be done so just wondering if there would be any difference)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation confirms that August 11th and 12th are holidays in Thailand, which may affect the processing of visa applications. It is recommended to check with the local Thai consulate as their specific holiday schedule may vary. Generally, applications submitted on holidays may not be reviewed until the next working day, which is August 13th. Some participants mentioned differing practices at various embassies, so it is advisable to apply as soon as the application is ready rather than wait.

Apply as soon as the application is ready, you will not win anything by waiting.

Not all Thais have days off these days, but the embassies most likely do have.

Yeah, absolutely true. It's the queen mother, queen Sirikit anniversary, and by extension, the Mother's Day also.

They are both holidays in Thailand but you need to look at the Thai consulate that serves the location you are currently in, most list their holidays on their website

Anonymous participant do understand that there is a queue that determines who's application is processed next. The earlier you submit your application, even during holidays, the higher up on the queue you are. Keep that in mind if you decide to wait.
