Are same day visas still available for Thailand from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, or Vietnam?

Just went trough the entire Photo and File section, tried search but can't find it.

From what I remember, I saw an official notice saying that same day visas are not possible to get anymore in Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia or Vietnam.

Is that correct? And if so, any link to a picture or document?

Thanks for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the recent changes in visa services for Thailand, specifically regarding the availability of same day visa processing from neighboring countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Community members contributed information suggesting that same day visa processing is no longer officially offered, with multiple comments pointing out that only the Savannakhet consulate had previously provided this service before retracting it. Further discussions highlight alternative services and the challenges faced by applicants, while referencing the economic impacts of these visa policies.

I've read this overnight policy is related to Thailand'a response to host countries, where the Thai Embassy/Consular services were located, feeling a bit left out of the money stream... No overnight stays means no money spent on lodgings, less on in country, transportation, less spent on food, souvineers, general goods, etc.

I have a friend who loves to go to Vientiane - French culture and all... But few want to spend money in Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam or anywhere else

Would you by choice? Let's be honest, the best thing to come out of Laos is the bridge at Nong Khai 😂

@J**
, there is no consulate in S/E Asia that officially offers same day service. There are agents in Phnom Penh and other places that can 'bend' the timeline for a price. The people I know who've gotten visas in PP and had them issued faster used Lucky Lucky Motorcycles Shop.

Apply day 1, pick up day 2. It is on almost all websites of the Embassies and Consulates.

It's difficult for most to get a day off from work here to get a Tourist visa and no funds to afford an overnight stay.

I assume your customers are all holiday makers and world travelers with lots of time, but no time enough to spend two or three days in a nice country to organize a visa back to Thailand.

Just tell them: Go Phnom Phen Thai Embassy, tell he staff you want it back same day or even better within 15 minutes, don't want to waste time there and they maybe do it for you if you smile. Pay know the tour and NO money back if the staff did not do it for you.

I am aware of that but some of my customers insist it's possible to get express visa in Phnom Phen. But I'm sure, I saw somewhere a memo where it said, all embassies have to do 1 day in , next working day collecting.

That's what I tried to find
