Can I use my CitiBank account in Bangkok for a marriage visa application instead of opening a new account?

Hello! I need to bridge from a work visa to a marriage visa as my work is getting to the end. I have an account in CitiBank Bangkok already for 4 years and with money above the 400.000B.

Do I need to open a new bank account in a Thai bank and wait 2 months? Or can I use that account to fulfill the requirements.

Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about transitioning from a work visa to a marriage visa in Thailand, specifically about using their existing CitiBank account for visa requirements. Comments clarified that while it is possible to use the CitiBank account, they would need to print the last three months of transactions and obtain a bank letter. Additionally, they would need to cancel their work extension in advance and apply for the marriage extension before their employment visa expires.

You'll cancel your extension based on employment with documentation from your employer etc. Most people do it several weeks early. They'll cancel your extension and stamp you in until the date your employment ends. Then before that stamp runs out you apply for the year extension based on marriage to a thai

you can use the CitiBank account here BUT know they don't have bank books so you need to have them print the last 3 months or so of transaction history AND get the bank letter from them on the day you go to the immigration office to apply for the year extension based on marriage.
