Are Americans Included in the Thai Govt.'s Special Visa Extensions for Tourists from COVID-19 High Risk Countries?
I've recently read that the Thai govt. Is allowing special Visa extensions to tourists from 19 specific COVID-19 high risk countries. Where can I find out if Americans are included.... and how to apply?
Answer summary
The Thai government is allowing special visa extensions for tourists from 19 specific COVID-19 high-risk countries. To check if Americans are included and how to apply, it's advised to contact your embassy for information on the Extension of Stay Letter, although previously, the US Embassy has not provided such letters.

You first must go to your Embassy BEFORE you are on OVERSTAY.
Your Embassy MAY give you an Extension of Stay Letter addressed to Thai Immigration requesting their consideration in granting you an extension of stay for 30 days.
BTW we have not heard of the US Embassy providing such a letter.
But still encourage you to ask for one
Good Luck...
