Hey guys! A friend of mine is currently in Phuket, flew in on the 19th of march, and has the typical 30 days visa exemption. So his exemption expired on the 18th of April but was by that recent update from the government allowed to stay till end of April, right?

Is he now allowed to stay till the end of July without going to the immigration or embassy whatsoever?

Your friend can stay until July 31 on the visa amnesty scheme. Remember though the visa amnesty is not an excuse to stay longer, but gives a person more time to leave Thailand.
