Exactly I of course have education visas, etc. in my passport already. They don't even need an online system (not sure if they do, I think they do) because they'll just see it on my pages
Also I am a business owner so I think that tripped more red flags, at the very least I had to explain more to the counter lady. I think if you're simply employed remotely by one company it's quite easy to show. Being a business owner or rather having your consultancy under your business does make it more complicated and obscure.
I gotta agree with Lyle. Just show your projects but you don't need to overly emphasize you definitely won't be looking for clients in Thailand. I think that would just trigger red flags in the interview. You want to show your income from abroad, not assure them that you won't find clients in Thailand. These two things sound similar but you see one emphasizes your current long-term projects abroad and one is anxiously focused on projects in Thailand.
it’ll be fine I think but Vietnam and Cambodia seems easier from my perspective. However I think they’re switching to Vietnam soon. Ultimately I think just stay on top of new posts and see what the changes are day by day. You’d be fine here though just show your stuff on your laptop so they can feel okay. If you’ve been living in Thailand prior expect questions about that too. I think the most important thing though is ensuring you’ve financed your Thailand adventures and living via foreign income.
true but I would still think that their system would get tripped. Maybe they interview less people or are still chill over there. I gave 6 months bank statement and no I didn’t have the 500k baht+ maintained until the last week and a bit over 500k baht in the beginning of the 6 month statement too.
Thank you! I’m so sleep deprived haha so it doesn’t even feel real yet. However, I can feel myself getting more relaxed. Happy it’s all settled now and I’m approved.
well what’s strange is my other friends who have been in Thailand equal to or longer than me didn’t have any issues at all. So maybe they’re just now tightening up? Or maybe in only Taiwan it’s like this because they all applied in Cambodia and Vietnam.
