I'll send you some footage shortly that will change your mind on corruption. I had money on release as family had sent it and it was in pocket first place I went was banglamung then soi 9. Because I had baht I got my phone, food and drinks from

, cigarettes and a joint believe it or not as it's not illegal there but the fact I got all that and privileges compared to the first time because I had cash says alot or I would have footage from start to end. Not just end. Only footage I have from beginning was when I felt like something was going wrong and video called my brother who screen recorded it. If I could go back I would pay 50k baht I had nearly 200k in my bank but that was even useless once in prison until my mum western unioned an Australian lady. Then I had more than enough, they also have a VIP room that fits around 20 people for a monthly price in prison, I refused to leave my Kon Thai friends who had looked out for me since 1st day to go in a cell or sleeping room with the other farangs. If I was going they were too but I am no better than Kon Thai because I finally had money, they are the ones that stuck by me with no money at all from outside sources. I felt at ease sleeping in a room of 127 Kon thais barely any movement than abandoning the ones that honestly cared for me from the beginning

will answer all of this and show a little footage that is not exclusive to media of how things work there. I was charged with Lapsapp theft, in uniform, I called my brother right away and got him to record it and send it to embassy, afp and Australia parliament. I was walking to the police station when on beach road I seen uniform police with a lady and approached them. I had accessed emergency settings that allowed me to call certain numbers it was not unlocked this is a function on most phones. They only wanted 20k lawyers wanted

no I agree, just got back to Australia and miss people there. Perhaps bordering countries are the best way. Thanks for your input

many men I know fought cases and I generally believe some were innocent but it turns a 5 year sentence into a 10 year one. It is not showing remorse by pleading not guilty unless you have some really good evidence or a decent judge you are gone. It is not like Australia, the police do not even ware body cams so anything can be corrabarated in Thai on the documents. That's why I would not sign them. They could have typed anything in Thai

baht for lawyer, under Australia embassy's advice. My mum did not have it, I did not and therefore had no legal advisor, interpreter or translator. Would not sign the police statement for 4 days because never knew what it said until embassy said. Crazy times, never travel solo again. Burden of proof is in the polices statements and whatever they want to say. They can pull witnesses from anywhere, the person knew I never stole the phone but did say police found it in my possession. Thai people are petrified of authorities, I love the people, country and humbleness but like everywhere you can get stitched up if you disrespectful.I thought I was doing the right thing returning a phone, but it turned south real quick. And had no lawyer so very lucky the judge heard me out via the translator from Russia.

was but how can I prove it, just hoping it is fixable. The judge must have felt something was dodgy under embassy's advice I could have had a maximum 2.5yr sentence if pleaded guilty. Possibly 5 years because I found it after 6pm at night. Scary situation for a solo travelling farang

it was all in Thai and nothing was mentioned about deportation even, although I knew my visa had ran out. Did not think immigration would be waiting for me upon release. I had no translator until the 48th day and she was Russian/english. I am still learning alot of things Thai law is something else. Police can remand you for up to 84 days while investigating and can say they do not wish to proceed after that. Thankfully the judge was good after 48 days. But you are guilty until proven innocent once you disrespect a police officer and they say they need up to 7 weeks = 84 days in Thai law 12 days in a week. It is 2567 there not 2024. If you know mosaics law it's very similar
