A friend of mine is on a non imm B original visa and extension ,(for a BOI company). He wants to leave his current company but still wants to work (either for a Thai company of by setting one up), the question he wants to know is if he can switch to an over 50 extension and Still work,?

hi, I wanted to have information about a year extension for over 50 in Bangkok. I arrived Thailand with a non-immigrant-o single entry. in 45 days I will go to request the extension. in the bank I have to ask only the document that certifies that the money has been on the account for at least 60 days or there are other documents to request? and the extension will start from the expiration of the non-immigrant-o single entry or from the date of my arrival in Thailand? thanks for the help

Thanks to Tod and group for getting me this far. Based on being over 50 and having sufficient funds, tomorrow I go to Bangkok Bank for the same day bank book stamp and then to immigration section C-1 in Bangkok to apply for the non immigration O -90 day visa. The steps are completed worby 30-day day extension on my 30 day US exempt stamp a few weeks ago ( good until August 9th) and then I opened a Bangkok Bank account and transferred 800k B funds into there account last week .

I would like to have the freedom to visit other Asian countries during my 90 day non immigration visa . Do I have to pay a separate fee for multiple re-entries at immigration tomorrow.or airport latet....or is there a multiple re-entry version of the 90 day non immigration O visa that might be a bit cheaper ?. I ask because all these fees are starting to add up .

After I have the 800k B seasoned for 2 months I intend to go for the one year over 50 in age extension .... from what I am reading the one year extension does have a multiple reentry version, and I'd really like to be able to find the same thing in the 90 day non immigration visa the precedes the extension period.
