For Retirement Visa----I work 4 or 5 months a year in the USA ---- I make about $20,000 or $25,000 from this work. My Social Security is only $1163 a moth. I would prefer to show adequate annual income and not put the 800,000 in an account. Is this doable? Will I be charged INCOME TAX on the work income I have in the USA? Thanks

I have been living in Thailand since obtaining my retirement Visa in early February and now I am ready to update my US address with social security. Any issues with not reporting my move after several months that I should be worried about? The paperwork says to report a foreign address within 3 months.

I understand social security from USA is not taxed? Moving over on a 1 year non o I would need to deposits 800k or show 65k monthly income? Would they tax the 800k$. I can show 65k monthly from Social Security easily. Would that have to be deposited in a Thai bank account?

Thanks

Not sure if this is the right place for this question but the more I read the more confused I get. Is having your Social security direct deposited into a Thai account better or should I keep it in my US bank and do monthly transfers? Thanks in advance

When using monthly deposits, must the money be sent directly to the Thai bank from the source (example: Social Security or rental income) to prove that it's income, or could I simply send monthly amounts from my US bank account?

Hello everyone.

I am an American. I am planning my retirement and will marry a Thai national soon. My question is, is it possible to have my retirement income deposited into a Thai bank account? Also when I'm eligable, the same for Social security? Is it easy to open a bank account in Thailand, Hua Hin? Any advise or exerience is welcome.
