I have a question for Americans on Social Security. Can you have your direct deposit for SS into your Thai bank account?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, Americans can have their Social Security payments directly deposited into Thai bank accounts. Users have confirmed that they receive their payments reliably in various Thai banks, such as Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn Bank.

did you have to change it on the SSA website and was it easy?

it’s been a while, but I don’t think they’ll let you change it on the SS website if it’s a bank outside the U.S. I had to send a form to the SS office in Manila, Philippines that Kasikorn Bank filled out with my account information.
