Has anyone on a DTV been able to open a bank account recently? I went to four banks, including Bangkok bank, and they all said that due to a recent policy they are not able to open bank accounts to DTV holders. I also asked an agent and he said the same thing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi, retiring to Thailand with my wife on the 17th Feb and will be in BKK for the initial 6 months then hoping to move to Hua Hin. My question is if we open bank accounts in BKK is it just a simple address change for Hua Hin as it is here in Ireland when moving or do we need to open new accounts in Hua Hin? Apologies if this has been asked before.
