If i were to visit my home country and do my visa run there for an education visa for advanced Thai language course, is it possible for me to have problems at immigration upon re-entry?
Background info:
- Australian passport
- Been in Thailand since Sep. 2017
- Was using tourist visas for about 1y 3m until Immigration gave me a warning at DMK after a visa run to KL.
- So I got an Non-Immigrant Education visa
- After my 9mth. beginners thai lang. course I would like to move up to the advanced thai lang. course which requires a visa run
- Looking to visit home (๐ฆ๐บ) in approx. 3months and do my visa run at the same time
- Looking to fly direct from Kuala Lumpur KUL to Surat Thani URT on return trip to Thailand.
Is there a chance I may be denied entry even though I have a proper visa? Im not working in the country but I am mainly here for boxing.
Ive heard about immigration also questioning/testing your thai language capabilities, has anyone had this experience?
Thank you in advance for any advice! ๐๐๐ฝ
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user concerns about potential problems at Thai immigration upon re-entry after a planned visa run to their home country for an advanced Thai language education visa. They share their visa history and inquire if having a proper visa would prevent entry issues, especially considering their long stay in Thailand and the possibility of immigration questioning their Thai language skills.
