Thought i would share my experience of my single entry visa in Vientiane consulate. This was the first one ive done on this passport. I drove up to Nong Kai from Pattaya and stayed in a hotel over night, charged 200 baht for leaving my car at the hotel which i didnt mind atol as i know it was safe. Left the hotel at 6am by tuk tuk. Arrived at the consulate at 07:30 and had some breakfast at a near by restuarant. Queue #54 and i was at my hotel at 10am. previous stamps on my passport are all visa exempt with one 30 day extension which i was currently on. I work offshore on a 1month on 1 month off rotation so i had about a years worth of visa exempts. i guess it went ok. I had put on my application that i am visiting family and she asked what family, i replied that im going to stay with my girlfriend/fiance. She then asked for proof of earnings. I had both my bank books with me USD and Current a count. Quickly printed them out and she was happy with that. Next day was easy. 13:30 arrived at consulate and was in and out without any hastle. took a taxi to the bridge and then another to cross over and take us to the hotel I eas going to take the bus but decided not to, glad i never as the queue at immigration was crazy. Taking the taxi cuts out the long wait at immigration.
