Hi everyone! Hoping I can get some clarity on my upcoming trip to Thailand in February.. I will be looking for land or property to lease upon my return to use as an airbnb/accommodation as well as home for myself. It is my understanding that I can do this under a multiple entry tourist visa? Does anyone have experience with this, your help is greatly appreciated if you have any to offer 😊 thank you in advance!! Namaste

Hiya folks, I recall someone posting info about property inheritance when a Thai spouse passes away. The law dictates that the house goes to the THAI next of kin and NOT to the non-Thai spouse. Someone posted that it is possible to apply for a document from the local district office to ensure the spouse has permission to live in that property indefinately even though they cannot own it. Cant find that post again. Any information would be most welcome. Not interested in expensive law firms.

Current requirements for a TM30 in Chiang Mai - didnt know about ID and Tabien Baan as Ive always been in managed condos before where Im now on a private house. Neither are a problem.

My question though - what if you don't have a lease? I don't have one, Im living with my partner in a house she owns.

Should I fake a lease or would a letter explaining the situation suffice in its place?

Been living in Thailand a few years now with a non B and workpermit. Will look to retire in a few years and as I am married to a Thai and we have two grown up children i will have 2 options either retirement or marriage visa. I know all the procedures for these but my question is this..... If i opt for a marriage visa and 400k in the bank what would happen ( god fobid ) if my wife died is there a widowers visa? or some period of time allowed to sort out matters or would i have to immediately go out of the country in my distressed state and get a new visa for retirement then have to find another 400k or equivalent in income to secure a new visa? Just a thought?
