TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the current financial requirement for supporting parent visas in Thailand, asking if it still stands at 500,000 THB or if it has increased. A comment confirmed that the requirement remains the same.

.. thanks Tod. A bit annoying having single accounts but better to go with the flow than try and get a joint account signed off.

check with your immigration office and see IF they accept joint accounts. Some offices do BUT some offices don't.

You are correct though IF the office allows a joint account you would need double the money in it so that you and your wife would each have 500K baht to meet the requirements.

Yes, each parent should meet the requirements for this Extension of Stay. The kids must meet the requirements for their Extension of Stay based on study in Thailand.

Thanks. And that is 500k per adult right for my wife and I, so 1,000,000 thb in total. The kids on ED visa don't have a requirement do they??

funds must be deposited in a bank in Thailand, under the father’s or the mother’s name, of no less than Baht 500,000 for the past three months.
