Hi All.

Quick question: Is the requirement to hold 500k THB under supporting parent visas still the same or has it increased??

check with your immigration office and see IF they accept joint accounts. Some offices do BUT some offices don't.

You are correct though IF the office allows a joint account you would need double the money in it so that you and your wife would each have 500K baht to meet the requirements.

Yes, each parent should meet the requirements for this Extension of Stay. The kids must meet the requirements for their Extension of Stay based on study in Thailand.

Thanks. And that is 500k per adult right for my wife and I, so 1,000,000 thb in total. The kids on ED visa don't have a requirement do they??

funds must be deposited in a bank in Thailand, under the father’s or the mother’s name, of no less than Baht 500,000 for the past three months.
