TLDR : Answer Summary
There's uncertainty about whether the TM6 digital arrival card will be operational by May 1st when the user arrives in Bangkok. Comments from various users suggest a lack of clear information regarding the implementation date, with some speculating that the government typically provides short notice for such updates, and there's a chance of system failures. Other participants in the discussion also expressed their own travel plans and concerns regarding the card.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

Is this for tourists?
Michael ********
@Diana ******
yes and long term visa holders, will probably be like the systems in Singapore and Malaysia

@Michael *******
so now I can’t just visit for a few weeks I must apply online? I’m coming late May.

@Diana ******
yes come as normal will make no difference and if anything like Singapore and Malaysia there are always people that forget and get assisted filling in. No idea when they will announce they are not very good at that.

@Diana ******
You can still visit for a few weeks. Just have to fill in the arrival card online. Same as they used to hand out on the plane. (If they implement the system)

My magic 8-ball says check again tomorrow. Even the Thai government doesn't know, so no one in this group will know.
