Does anyone know if there are border run companies in Surat Thani? Looking for companies, not comments about how to get over the border myself. Off topic people will get blocked right away to reduce useless discussions. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question addresses whether there are border run companies specifically in Surat Thani. Responses indicate a lack of such companies in Surat Thani, with suggestions to use services based on nearby Koh Samui or other locations. There is frustration expressed over the general topic of border runs, particularly in light of recent immigration crackdowns, suggesting the need for potential travelers to be cautious and seek legitimate immigration methods.

Fly out to any nearby country rather than doing border runs. It's much easier and more than likely. You will get back into thailand with less trouble all land borders now seem to have toughened up 🙏

I thought the border has been opened again as the situation cleared. I read reports of people having done border runs through Sadao recently

Does anyone know how to get a visa? I don’t want a crap one, I want the best one. How much does it cost? Will I have to go to immigration or can someone just send one to me? I have money in the bank, but I don’t want to tell anyone how much I have. Too many scammers. How many banks are there in Thailand? Where are they? Can I open an account in Thailand with a bus pass and post office savings book? If the answer is yes, I’ll get a bus pass next week. Want to know in advance so I don’t waste my time and money on it if it’s not acceptable. Sorry for all the questions, I don’t know how to use google and I want to be prepared in advance. Also, i figured most people on here would be happy to do the groundwork for me. That way i have more time to relax and dream about what I’ll do when i get there. Please, only helpful answers. No nasty comments or sarcasm permitted. What time is it in Thailand now?

I'm sure there are. Many operate their services at the border. Just turn up and look out for them 👍

I don’t recommend visa run to Ranong, I have tried it, takes time with boat and stops at customs etc, Ranong harbour is not a nice place to be, it was a lot of people trying to sell cocaine and stuff, I needed 10 us dollar to get the stamp I needed, and got out of the country as soon as I could.

Its better to visit a immigration office to extend there.

and the Ranong/Kawthoung border run is easy-peasy IF you use an agent. I do NOT recommend you do it by yourself

Did it say that she already had an extension?

Nongnuch?

I did it by my self, not difficult but took time and was not nice, they wanted me to wait until the longtail boat was full, I rented one on my own, wouldn’t risk having to wait for a long time on the other side too.

you cannot extend a touristic entry on Immigration for a second time after you have already extended it by 30 days.

There are a few from Samui and Phangan. Depending on their destination you should be able to meet up with them on route.

well it can be done by a "Visarun Company" either to the Sadao border or across Ranong/Kawthoung. Both are a full days journey. There are NO visarun companies in Surat Thani. You will need to use companies that offer their services on Koh Samui. Google "samuivisatech" dot com. They only serve the Satun border. It is a LOOOONG journey, starts at 3 in the morning until 9 in the evening! . . . . . And you surely have to work on your attitude

The border in Satun is currently closed and has been since the flooding in the South of Thailand. Unknown when it might open again. Perhaps soon.
