Hi, just a note for members, I went to re new my Non-O at CW with all the standard proofs as usual. I was using the 400k option as per every year. However, this year they asked me where the money had come from, and wanted to see the transactions. (I keep the money in my wife's savings account when not using it) Luckily, we just printed out the transfer from my wife's bank. I'm not sure why they asked but maybe something to do with the new tax laws but it's not an official requirement, so just to make a note for the future!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A member shared an experience when renewing their Non-O visa at Chaengwattana, noting that they were asked to provide evidence of the origin of their funds. Although this isn't an official requirement, it highlights a potential new scrutiny on financial sources, possibly due to changes in tax laws. Others commented on varying requirements based on their renewal experiences, indicating that the specific documentation, like bank statements or pension verification letters, can differ depending on the method used to qualify for the visa.
