Hello. I'm thinking to apply Non-O retirement visa with 800K method next year and my question is:

Q. I already have 800K in Thai Bank because i've been lived in chiangmai for 5 years with different visa.( Current visa will be expire next year)

Does Immigration require that 800K must be transfer from oversea( International transfer)? OR, as long as you have 800k in the thai bank, they will approve Non-O retirement visa??

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether the 800K THB required for a Non-O retirement visa must originate from an international transfer or if it suffices to have the funds already in a Thai bank. Responses indicate that in Chiang Mai, the immigration office does not require proof of an international transfer for the 800K when applying for an initial visa or an extension of stay based on retirement, though it may vary in other provinces. It is recommended to verify with the local immigration office regarding specific requirements.

What visa are you currently on? For some you can simply change the reason and get an extension based on retirement directly skipping having to apply for a Non-O visa

When you're near just go to the Immigration Office and ask them for their list of requirements for an extension of stay based on retirement just to be sure.

If you are applying for an initial Non-O retirement visa in Chiang Mai, they don't require you to show an international transfer record of that 800K baht while other provinces do.

If you are applying for a changing reason for a 1-year extension to retirement, most offices don't require you to show an international transfer record of that 800K baht.
