I can't Hi all, new group member here, planning to move to Thailand in a few months. One thing AI can answer, is whether an embassy (I'm currently in the UK), will accept sale proceeds of my house here, as sufficient proof of funds (even though I won't have the 3+ months of savings history, until the house is sold). Has anyone else used sale proceeds, to evidence sufficient savings for the Workbased DTV?
Answer summary
A new member seeks advice on whether the Thai embassy in the UK will accept sale proceeds from their house as sufficient proof of funds for a Work-Based Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), despite not having the required 3-month savings history. Commenters share varied experiences, indicating that while some embassies may require a minimum period for funds in the bank (often around 10 days), others emphasize the need for liquidity and adherence to standard requirements like stamped bank statements and e-tickets. Overall, consensus suggests that cash needs to be in the account for a brief period, but specifics can vary.

They don't check where the funds come from, but the UK only needs them for 10 days. They need 3 months' bank statements with funds in the last month for 10 days. They will be looking for income that matches your work in the other months to show you can support yourself. UK embassy also requires an e-ticket. I believe they now ask for bank statements that are stamped by your branch. Online banking is a problem for that :(

You are in the same boat as Me, but about 8 months ahead. How would You survive here, if Your House is sold. ? Where would You live, while awaiting Your Visa. ?

Have a look through the posts in here, but somebody has mentioned previously that ten days is enough seasoning for the London Embassy.

Nope, it has to be money in the bank. But the good news for you is that while the Thai consulate in the UK requires 3 months of statements the 500k baht equivalent only has to be in that account for a couple of weeks
