TLDR : Answer Summary
The King's funeral on October 13th is expected to be an official holiday in Thailand, alongside the 23rd and the 26th. However, specific details about office hours for immigration services on the 13th remain unclear, with users noting that no additional official holidays have been posted. It's advised that applicants check for updates closer to the date.

Okay, right now the ONLY official holidays in October for gov't workers are the 13th, the 23rd & the 26th.

As soon as there's an announcement or other days added I'll make a post.

BUT so this thread doesn't go viral on the other forums, I'm shutting it down.

Thanx
@El***
, for pointing out I missed a couple

I heard it's a 7 day holiday but I'm not sure if that's official

My Thai friends seem to think Government Offices and Entertainment venues will be closed for at least a few days but in the end who knows!

I'm not sure if mourning means official holiday and closures

My Thai friends tell me that the Country will be 'in mourning' for a week but dates not yet announced!

The rumor from the bar scene is that the bars will be closed for 7 days during the ceremony....not sure if that means holiday or not

if they're gonna make it one, I'm sure there will be an announcement or something but right now there is nothing listed on any gov't websites other than them being closed on the 26th.

There are NO posted holidays except for the 26th.

You do know that you can get a 30 day extension on a tourist visa or a 30 day visa exempt entry at any immigration office and you don't have to wait until the last day either because they ADD the 30 day extension onto your current expiration date.

Thank you I didn't realise that

probably like most immigration offices 30 days before your current stamp expires

Hi Tod Daniels. I like to extend my 60 days SETV in Samui with another 30 days... you know how many days before the expiration date this is possible?
