Will not having a return ticket to Thailand cause problems at Vietnamese immigration?

I'm going to Hanoi on Tuesday to apply for DTV, and since I'm not sure how long I'll stay there (depends how long they are going to make me wait for getting the work done), I didn't book a return ticket to TH. Could it be a problem at Vietnamese immigration when entering the country Tuesday ? How did you guys manage that part ?

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question is about entering Vietnam without a return ticket while applying for a DTV visa. Experiences shared by others indicate that while some have faced no issues, others suggest it might depend on individual circumstances, including nationality and current travel policies. Several commenters mentioned that stating the intention to leave as soon as the visa process is complete tends to work well, and immigration officers might not always ask for a return ticket.

I entered multiple times with German passport and don't remember being asked for return ticket. Several times, I entered or left overland.

Depends on passport I suppose. I am on British passport and been about 10 times since 2018. I was asked once for return. I had one but could not find it. He let me in with a smile.
