Will not having a return ticket to Thailand cause problems at Vietnamese immigration?

I'm going to Hanoi on Tuesday to apply for DTV, and since I'm not sure how long I'll stay there (depends how long they are going to make me wait for getting the work done), I didn't book a return ticket to TH. Could it be a problem at Vietnamese immigration when entering the country Tuesday ? How did you guys manage that part ?

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about potential issues with Vietnamese immigration when entering Hanoi without a return ticket to Thailand, as they need to apply for a visa there. Comments from others suggest that the situation may vary; some have entered without a return ticket, while others recommend having one in case it is requested. Immigration officers may ask about the duration of stay, but in many cases, users reported being allowed entry without problems.

Depends on passport I suppose. I am on British passport and been about 10 times since 2018. I was asked once for return. I had one but could not find it. He let me in with a smile.
