Will my son's overstay stamp affect his future entry to Thailand or visa applications?

Hello, my son of 1.5 years old got an overstay stamp when leaving Thailand. It is the first time he got it. I thought he can overstay his stay as a child below 15 years old without any overstay stamps. Previously border officers didn't stamp his passport at all, so I am concerned he can have some problems to enter Thailand or get a visa in the future. What do you think?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community reassures that the overstay stamp received by the user’s 1.5-year-old son is common for children under 15. They note that such overstays typically do not incur penalties, and the stamp should not affect his future entry into Thailand. Concerns about potential issues for school-related visas or extensions are mentioned, but overall, responses indicate that there shouldn't be significant problems regarding future travel or visa applications.

If your son didn't get an overstay stamp before when he was overstaying, he got just lucky.

Don't worry. My son once over stayed 1000 days and he was still allowed back in , never had trouble, touch wood.

He won't have problems to enter Thailand or apply for an e-visa, but it might be a problem when he wants to do a extension with the immigration office probably

It blows my mind, that we can now do a machine translation so easily. It makes living in Thailand so much easier 🩵

It's normal they get an overstay stamp if they have overstayed

Not a problem at all, unless, possibly, if the child will later on go to school in Thailand and require an Ed visa.

The stamp clearly says it is an overstay for someone under the age of 15, don't worry. They get the stamp, but no fine.
