Will my previous Thailand entry pattern affect my entry in January 2026?

Extension and border run. Will I be let in?

So in 2024 I entered in july 2024 for a week.

Then in September i came back and stayed for around 80 days with an extension and then left for three weeks to Indonesia and Malaysia and finally came back for another 35 days and left in January 2025

I am planning to visit early Jan 2026. Will be previous pattern be a problem? It would have been almost 12 months since I left. No entries in 2025.

Thanks for any insight.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their travel history in relation to entering Thailand again in January 2026, having not entered the country during 2025. The general consensus in the comments is that there should be no issues with the upcoming entry given the limited time spent in Thailand during the previous years, as their travel habits reflect those of a typical tourist. It is advised to have necessary documents ready, such as proof of onward travel, sufficient funds, and accommodation bookings.

RadiantQuince2508 . . . you won't have a problem as your behavious is that of a "real" tourist. . . . . just have the 3 proofs in case you get asked (onward-travel, 20,000 THB or equivalent in cash, booking of a few first nights) and the online TDAC completed

yes and like all things in life you should do a risk assessment and in this case the risk would be very low

indeed you should. I did based on following this site, covered all the bases such as a legal flight out and cash etc. Got pulled. Did get sixtyw days though. Am I a tourist, I do all the tourist things, well not any more. Wasting my money, I thought I was helping. .

Exactly. Different border officers will have different level of assessment for entries. Nobody can give a definite answer.

You have barely been in Thailand in 2025, so an entry in 2026 won't be any problem.
